Philip Pullman CBE, FRSL is an English writer from Norwich. He is the best-selling author of several books, most notably his trilogy of fantasy novels, [*His Dark Materials*](/series/OL330755L/His_Dark_Materials), and his fictional biography of Jesus, *The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ*. The first of *His Dark Materials* has been turned into the film The Golden Compass and the first two books from his Sally Lockhart series have been adapted for television. Robert Lawrence Stine, known as R. L. Stine and Jovial Bob Stine, is an American writer. Stine, who is often called the "Stephen King of Children's literature," is the author of hundreds of horror fiction novels, including the books in the Goosebumps, Rotten School, Mostly Ghostly, The Nightmare Room, and Fear Street series.
