Matthew Reynolds

Matthew Reynolds is The Times Lecturer in English at Oxford University and a Tutorial Fellow of St Anne's College. He is the author of *The Poetry of Translation: From Chaucer & Petrarch to Homer & Logue* (OUP, 2011). His previous work on translation includes the Penguin anthology *Dante in English* (Penguin, 2005) which he co-authored with Eric Griffiths, the chapter on 'Principles and Norms of Translation' in vol. 4 of the *Oxford History of Literary Translation in English* (OUP, 2006), and a series of essays in the *London Review of Books*.
