Nicole C. Engard is the vice president of education at ByWater Solutions. She directs the company’s open source education endeavors and works with systems librarians on a daily basis. In addition to her responsibilities at ByWater, Engard writes about technology, systems, and libraries on her website What I Learned Today ... (www.web2learning.net). Engard’s interest in library technology started at the Jenkins Law Library in Philadelphia, where she worked as the web manager, metadata librarian, and librarian trainer.
