Margaret L. (Marge) Lial, born in Sacramento, California, was a dedicated teacher and accomplished college math textbook author. Marge was a Sac High Grad (Class of '45) and remained an active member of the Sac High reunion committee. She attended Sacramento City College, then UC Berkeley before leaving school to marry McClatchy grad Ed Lial. Marge loved to travel, especially to archaeological digs, and visited four continents and countless countries over the course of her life. Stanley A. Salzman is a long time resident of Sacramento, California. Stan has taught Business Math, Marketing, and Real Estate courses at American River College in Sacramento for 35 years. He says, “Some of my greatest moments in teaching have been seeing the look on the face of a student who understands a business math concept or idea for the first time.” He is the author of *Business Mathematics* and *Essential Mathematics*, and is coauthor of *Basic Mathematics*.
