Larry Milberry is the founder CANAV Books, Canada's oldest independent aviation book publisher. He was born in 1943 in Haleybury Ontario, the youngest of four children of Basil Milberry, a miner, and Julia (née Brown). A fan of aviation from boyhood, Milberry parlayed his love of flying machines into a livelihood, leaving a teaching career in 1980 to found his own publishing company. Since then, Milberry has been producing original quality works of aviation history authored by himself and other Canadian aviation experts.
