- As 2022 wore into 2023, people bothered to wonder: are the Twenties here yet? *Volo: A Chapbook* is not meant even to attempt to be a definitive answer. Yet, the fourteen poem cycle, holding up a precise mirror to *Posit*, and the rest of the *Posit Trilogy* (2017), does try its hand at oracular somnambulism towards what this decade is supposed to represent, embody, and deify. Composed at **Volo Coffehouse**, which is strategically positioned on Main Street, **Manayunk**, Philadelphia, the poet channels thumbprints, palimpsests, and insignias, beamed in from outer space to set (hopefully, and God willing) a decade on some semblance of fire. Adam Fieled

American writer Adam Fieled was born in New York City in 1976 but raised in the Philadelphia suburb Cheltenham. He attended Penn State University in the Nineties, but eventually graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in the Aughts. His first print books, *Posit* (2 editions) and *Opera Bufa*, appeared in 2007, and were followed by *When You Bit...*, *Chimes*, *Apparition Poems*, *Equations* (3 editions), and *Cheltenham*, as well as numerous e-books and chapbooks, like *Beams*, *The White Album* (2 editions), *The Posit Trilogy*, and *The Great Recession*. Funtime Press was established in Philadelphia in 2007 by American poet Adam Fieled.
