About this book

They called it Fort Supply, the last outpost of the U.S. Army on the boundary of Oklahoma Territory-home to the damned, the disgraced, and the dispirited. Now, Doc McReynolds, a military surgeon who fought his way out of a bloody killing field, has been ordered to establish a redoubt at Cimarron Crossing. But while McReynolds leads his company to Deep Hole Creek, a past he'd like to forget dogs his every step. The good Doc knows he can't outrun it, just like he can't avoid the battle awaiting him. For he and his men are heading directly into the path of a hard-riding band of Cheyenne warriors, ready for the final, deadly face-off between enemies bent on revenge.
