Art Recess 6, a.k.a. Slow Wave, began in 2023 as a site to consolidate the most stalwart contributions and contributors to Philly Free School enterprises, including P.F.S. Post (Philly Free School Post).

*The Philly Free School* were a multi-media artists co-op active out of Philadelphia in the Aughts, founded by Adam Fieled, Mike Land, Jeremy Eric Tenenbaum, and Nick Gruberg. Many of their multi-media performances were held at the **Highwire Gallery**, between Broad and 13th on Cherry Street in Center City Philadelphia. **Poetry Incarnation '05** was held at the Khyber Pass in Olde City on July 5, 2005. By metonymic connection, many Aughts Philadelphia artists associated with Neo-Romanticism also fall under the aegis of the Philly Free School. The literary journal [P.F.S. The web-zine P.F.S. Post (Philly Free School Post), edited by Adam Fieled and based in Philadelphia, first appeared online in representative form on October 10, 2005, and is an online extension of the Philly Free School. It publishes avant-garde poetry, fiction, literary dialogues and criticism. Funtime Press is a print press, established in 2007, which serves as an ancillary channel of P.F.S. Post and the Philly Free School.
