Frances Patton Statham resided in metro Atlanta. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, artist, musician, author and philanthropist. Frances received numerous awards in writing, music composition, art, lectures, and community service. She graduated magna cum laude from Winthrop University with a double major in voice performance and music education. She held an MFA degree from the University of Georgia, with further opera study. Listed in such reference books as World Who's Who of Women, the Dictionary of International Biography, International Who's Who of Intellectuals, International Who's Who of Authors and Writers, and Personalities of the South, she was at work on her 17th novel.
