1968 – 2019

Simon Harris (or Morris) was born in Blackpool. He later read English Literature at Manchester University, but was faced with a schizophrenic episode, which forced him into a psychiatric hospital, where he formed his band; Ceramic Hobs. The Ceramic Hobs enjoyed great popularity on the underground music scene during their thirty year career, regularly taking part in Mad Pride, effectively bringing attention to and increasing understanding of mental health problems. After retiring from music, Morris published several, well received, books, using his birth name; Consumer Guide, Creepshots, Civil War, Watching the Wheels and Sea of Love.
