About this book

An ambitious work from explorer and anthropologist Woni Spotts traces humanity from its most ancient origins through civilizations. Illuminated with immersive artwork and poetic prose on every page, the book explores how ethnic identities formed and evolved through genetics, archaeology, migration, and cultural memory. Ancient megaliths and archaeological mysteries appear throughout the journey. Sacred geometry, meditation, and indigenous ritual intersect with forgotten empires and cultural memory. Cryptids, phantom islands, migration, and historical injustice deepen the exploration of a shared past. Music, belief systems, and technology emerge as cultural artifacts shaped by movement, adaptation, and survival. Richly illustrated and atmospheric, the narrative functions as both scholarly exploration and cultural atlas. **Chapters** Beyond Instincts Doorway to the World Africa-South Africa-East Africa-Central Africa-West Africa-North Egypt Levant Persian Gulf Iberia Anatolia Eurasian Steppe Asia-East Asia-South Sundaland/Asia-Southeast Australia Oceania Americas-North, South, and the Caribbean Islands: Ancestral Australo-Melanesian, Beringian Descendant, Olmec, Maya, Aztec, Inca Arctic Circle and North Pole: Siberian Eurasian Steppe-West Europe-North Europe-East North German Plain Europe-West and Central British Isles Gaul Balkan Italian Peninsula Germanic Rule Black America: Genetics, Linguistics, Rebellion, Abolition, Foundation, Military, Wild West, Statue of Liberty, Jim…
