by Marcos Krämer, Clara Esborraz, Museo de Arte Moderno (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
This book proposes an intimate approach to the series of drawings "The Broken Hour", by Clara Esborraz Clara Esborraz (Rafaela, Santa Fe, 1991), exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires in 2019. In addition to a visual tour of the works in the exhibition, the catalogue includes the curatorial text of Marcos Krämer and a biography. Produced with commonly used materials, such as the pen and the most common paper, Clara Esborraz's drawings present a series of situations full of objects and everyday spaces that slowly open up to surreal fantasy. Her images distort reality without forgetting it, they twist it towards irrational situations in which a tooth or a kettle cry, where a curtain perspires. Thus, they create a new space between real domestic objects and their imaginary actions, between the particularity of their home character and the breadth of the feelings they communicate. "
