Jamie Rix is an English children's author, as well as a comedy writer, and a television and radio producer. He studied Drama and English at the University of Kent while he worked as an assistant stage manager at the Royal Court Theatre. He was hired by the BBC to write and produce comedies for television and radio, and helped create *Radio Active*, *The Wow Show*, *The History of Rock*, *Alas Smith and Jones*, etc. He published his first children's book *Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids* in May 1990, which led to three sequels, a cartoon adaptation for ITV and several other children's books with their own series, such as the *Alistair Fury* series and the *Johnny Casanova* books.
