About this book

From the back cover: "On the morning of September 13, 1970, Timothy Leary escaped from the California prison where he had served seven months of a possible ten-year sentence for possession of marijuana. This book is Timothy Leary's account of that prison experience, written as he was living through it. It is a strikingly original work, in which dramatic narrative and spiritual reflection, humor and anger, intense emotion and philosophical detachment are inextricably intermingled."
