Clyde Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., D. Sc., FACS, DABNS is President of Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute and Holos Energy Medicine Education. He is often called the “Father of Holistic Medicine” and Founded the American Holistic Medical Association in 1978. Dr. Shealy created the concept of Holistic Medicine in 1971 with the introduction of the first of its kind Shealy Pain & Rehabilitation Institute, which evolved into the Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute. Caroline M. Myss, Ph.D., was born in Chicago, Illinois. She received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana in 1974. During her career as a journalist, she interviewed Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, the author of the book, *On Death and Dying*, which inspired her to pursue a master's degree in theology from Mundelein College, which she completed in 1979. She also studied intuition and energy medicine at Greenwich University.
