Paul Danziger is an American attorney, film producer, and the executive producer of Puncture (2011 ), the Chris Evans legal thriller based on his own true story. In 1998, Danziger and his law partner Mike Weiss filed a federal antitrust lawsuit on behalf of Retractable Technologies against Becton Dickinson and hospital Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) that had conspired to block a life-saving retractable safety syringe from reaching American hospitals. The case exposed systemic corruption in the medical supply industry and ultimately settled for $100 million in 2004, leading to widespread adoption of safety needles across the United States.
