Julian graduated from Cambridge in 1987. After a brief stint at Yorkshire Television Julian joined Central where he worked as a Script Editor on a number of successful series including BOON and INSPECTOR MORSE. He then developed PEAK PRACTICE with Lucy Gannon and was a Story Editor for the first two series. In 1994 he left Central to co-found an independent production company, Ikona Films, which was immediately commissioned to make THE VET for BBC1. Julian produced the second series and then joined the BBC as an Executive Producer where he worked on a number of productions including DANGERFIELD and PRESTON FRONT.
