Writing

Augusto Cabada

Augusto Cabada Cáceres was born in Miraflores in 1961. He studied film at the University of Lima, where he later taught Film Language and Screenwriting for several years. He wrote film criticism for various publications, including the legendary magazine Hablemos de Cine (Let's Talk About Film), alongside Ricardo Bedoya, Federico de Cárdenas, José Carlos Huayhuaca, Nelson García, Reynaldo Ledgard, and others. He made his television screenwriting debut in 1985 when Danny Gavidia recommended him to Pancho Lombardi, who had begun producing a telenovela called Bajo tu piel (Under Your Skin), directed by Augusto Tamayo. There, he teamed up for the first time with Giovanna Pollarolo.
