Karel van Bellingen

Karel van Bellingen is a writer-director hailing from Brussels, Belgium. Eyeing a career in filmmaking since early childhood, which was mostly spent drawing cowboys, constructing electric robots and building life-size spaceships in his parents’ basement, his first love was special effects. Eventually growing out of this obsession, he spent some time at university earning degrees in social sciences and cultural studies before moving to London and completing his MA in filmmaking from the London Film School, specializing in editing and directing.
