Roman Mikhailov

Roman Valeryevich Mikhailov (Russian: Рома́н Вале́рьевич Миха́йлов; born October 2, 1978; Jurmala) is a Russian mathematician, writer, as well as screenwriter, theater director and film director. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2001, he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University. In 2003, at the Steklov Mathematical Institute, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Filtration of groups, homology and engagement spaces", in 2004 he became an employee of the algebra department of the Institute.
