Matyoqub Matchonov

Matyoqub Matchonov (born November 26, 1956, in Tashkent, USSR) is an Uzbek theater and film actor, recognized as one of the most respected figures in Uzbek cinema and performing arts. Inspired by a dream of becoming an actor, Matchonov entered the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute after finishing school. He made his film debut in 1980 with Dahoning yoshligi (The Youth of a Genius). After completing his studies, he began his professional theater career in 1985 at the Young Guard Theater.
