KARL MAALAB PAREDES is a filmmaker based in Quezon City and a student at the University of the Philippines Film Institute. His experimental documentary Concrete Conflicts (2025) is streaming on Cinemata, and he served as Director of Photography and editor for the Cheeky Things music video “Bones,” named one of 2024’s standout Filipino music videos by Rolling Stone Philippines.
