Tharaka Wasalamudaliarachchi (Tharu Queen) is a Sri Lankan Author, Actress, TV Producer & Songwriter. She began her professional journey in 1997, joining Swarnavahini as one of its early journalists. During this time, she contributed as a presenter on the political program Deshapalana Sathiya and worked as part of the production team for Rathu Ira. Her breakthrough came in 2000 with the current affairs program Helidarawwa, which brought her widespread recognition. She received the Sumathi Tele Awards for Best Television Current Affairs Program in both 2000 and 2001.
