She was born in Seoul, Korea and was raised there until she was 12. Seeing that she I loved storytelling, drawing and writing, her parents decided to send her to America. At age 12, she went to the U.S. and continued her passion for creative writing, but this time in English. She attended high school in Palos Verdes, California and took a video production class as an elective. There, she learned that she actually loved making videos, since it was a way of visual storytelling.
