Fortis Simons

Fortis Simons is a bilingual (English/French) filmmaker (writer/director/ editor) and keen poet from Brent, London. His first narrative short (written- directed and edited) ‘Love of Words Words of Love’ screened at multiple BAFTA, BIFA qualifying festivals including Aesthetica Film Festival. It was nominated for a Royal Television Society award, ‘Best Scripted’ and now Streaming on Minute Shorts. As a filmmaker and poet, Fortis wants to know what makes us unique, by examining experiences and stories of human connection, human vulnerabilities and artistic communication through the delicate relationship between visual storytelling and poetry.
